    Little profit

Went to pick up 11 printers and two CPU's (Dell) from an online auction. Paid $7.26. Another auction winner was there and offered me $50.00 for the CPU's and three printers (HP's). I said, "it's yours".

No part of that sounds like a bad deal. I don't know what kind of machines they were, but my experience with online auctions tells me that is a good deal all day.
There may a million better places to live than Iowa, but none of them are home!

Those must have been some nice CPUs. Pentium pro maybe?

The guy who bought them ships them out of the country. That concerns me some. I asked him if he tested them. He said no. I don't think he knew a great deal about them. He did say he was most interested in Dell and HP. He gave me his number if I came across any more. Got the impression he was from the Caribbean.

Hold on a second. I wasn't aware that Dell or HP made CPUs.

    But yes, nice quick flip.

I think he's referring to towers. For steeltree, the cpu is the chip clipped to the motherboard.

You'll notice them called "cpu"s a lot in online auctions, they just don't know any better, and who's going to tell them? haha, steeltree probly just picked it up from them ; )

It was two towers. That was how they described them in the auction.....Bear was correct.

So, you got paid $42 to take 8 printers home. That's a good haul, in my book!
