Forgot to take pics of my uncles pool when I hauled it in, but you can check out my other thread I posted about the guy backing into my trailer at the yard!
Boy do I got some pics to show you guys!!! I just took in the biggest load I ever took and probably will today! I'll wait till I post up pics as I'm kind of going somewhere right now, but you I almost S*** my pants when the lady at the weigh scale wrote down my cash out amount! I also have other tales.
Didn't know you lived in PA... Im from Erie, but visit family in Butler from time to time. Cheers!

Well, I did more damage to my truck unfortunately. Broke leaf springs, mostly because the shocks were shot and I've been hounding my dad about replacing them, then after about a month or two of using the leaf springs as shocks they broke, guess leaf springs don't make good shock absorbers. Aswell I did some more damage to the plastic box on the truck, I really hate having a back end of plastic, I let a "girl" drive on a dirt trail up in the mountains and some how we went over a stick, it kicked up and impaled the side of the fender, dang plastic... If the fender was metal nothing would of happened except maybe a dent.
I still need to show you guys the loads I just made recently, and I still have more scrap waiting for me, so I need to get this truck fixed quick so I can go pick up the rest of the scrap!
Quick Ferrous Load I took in to get some extra spending cash.
Picked up all this stuff in one day, I kept getting calls, I even got a 5 dollar tip on a mini fridge that was like 2 blocks away from one of my bigger pickups.
This was my biggest load as of that time to take in, I got like 323 bucks, I would of got more if I tore apart the air conditioners.
This was one heavy printer/copier!!
Picking up my biggest load yet, and they still have more for me. About 7000 pounds of Office Cubicle divider walls. Listen to this, I took it to one of the local yards in the city, (The city is big enough that it has its own craigslist) and the yard was a big shot yard, much bigger then the general yard I deal with. Well they rejected my load due to the cardboard/styrofoam in the center of them, well I hauled them 40 miles and took them to my local yard, and alls my local yard did was take 300 pounds off the initial weight count. Original Count, 6860 Pounds, Cash out weight, 6560 Pounds of tin, at 0.10 a pound you do the math!
This was a trophy, Never found one of these in a dryer before!
That office cubicle load was all shred too no non-ferrous what so ever! My truck currently stands crippled, it needs leaf springs, I bought shocks for it aswell that I will be putting on. It also needs a new light hookup for the truck, cause we completely rewired my trailer and now found out theres a problem with the truck trailer light hookup so now we need a new one.
My Recycling landed me a Full-Time job this summer working in an amusement park nearby, I will be working in their recycling plant. Can't beat that, and I still will scrap on the side as well. So I'll be making good money before I head off to school in the fall.
Headed back to the place where I got the big load and they had about half a trailer load of those walls again and asewll I got about 60 to 70 lcd monitors for free. However they did have computer towers that they wanted me to give money for. I had 45 bucks on me as I wasn't prepared for it, so I paid 2 bucks a piece for about 22 towers that had ram and hard drives missing. Oh well, I still made good money on the walls. Tried taking it to the other local yard up there, they wanted to give me light iron price which they had at 8 1/2 cents a pound, I had to respectfully decline even after the 40 mile journey back to my area and to my yard, Id make more money doing that for 10 cents per pound then for 8 1/2.
Funny, two of my co-workers grew up about 15 minutes from Sunbury, said there was a fierce football rivalry with the football team there. Definitely God's country out that way.
Good job on the scrap!
What town was it? Our biggest Rival is Selinsgrove, and then the 2nd most is Shamokin.
Picked up a load from a kid I know through him being my brothers friend, They had a bunch of stuff for me filled up my trailer. Made 116 bucks just by picking that load up and taking it to the yard.
Was just contacted about tearing down a trailer home. Going to look at it today or tomorrow to give them a quote.
We dont even play port trevorton lol, they don't even have a foot ball team. Unless they are part of selinsgrove school district whicxh I highly doubt they are.
Little update, that trailer I've been tearing down is going good, we have the whole interior ripped apart, waiting for the lady to get us our roll off dumpster so we can continue with the tear down. Pics will be coming, haven't been getting too too much lately, cause most of my road signs were either taken by the state or stolen or destroy by inconsiderate @$$ holes, I have like 1 left out of 8 I had up. Will be making more though. My job at the recycling plant for the theme park i work at is going good.
When I had one down to that point, I used a chain saw and sawed thru the studs and with a chainsaw, pulled the walls down and dropped the roof onto the floor for easy cutting. Pulled it loose from the rafters and rolled it up and tied with string for easier loading.
