    Hauling tomorrow

Well, Lost my regular job Friday, i was hoping to make a few more weeks there,to keep the insurance, but the powers that be cut me loose. been there in that building since 1986 with two differnt companies. Last of the line. Some member of my family has worked there ever since 1963, until now.Well anyway, found this out Friday morn,so been getting a bunch of stuff cleaned up for a load tomorrow. Think i'll have a pretty decent haul.Heard prices had risen a little, sure hope so.I sold two john deere riding mowers, parts units, a craftsman tiller with a leaking plastic tank, and a real heavy piece of well pipe. got fifty bucks for the lot. and all i had to do was chit chat in the yard and point them out, I probably could have gotten more, but, i really had no way to lift the pipe or a trailer heavy enough to haul it on. plus it was one of my dads good friends, so i didnt mind. Hey none of it cost me a nickle,so i cant complain. So after this i will be out of things to scrap. so while i can i am going to get the yard really clenaed up all the way around, kill all the weeds which are now head high.Got two boxes of boards packed and ready to ship, should have enough to fill one more box. After that i dont know, the Lord will show me the way.

For good or bad now you are motivated.
I suggest you do research on items that can be sold on ebay or craigs list. The reason I mention that you stated you had a John Deere lawn mower and I know the parts can be extremely expensive new. Mike

Thats unfortunate man. But im sure you're determined and will do very well. You've got a bunch of great info here and a bunch of really helpful and supportive people.

    Hauling tomorrow

Sorry to hear about the full time job. I have been in business for myself since 2001 doing hvac and once that dried up and the phone stopped ringing, it pushed me to scrap all the things I used to leave behind. I am now pushing to hit the yard at least 3 times a week with no less than 700 pounds of shred, and that's with just going out at night for 4 hours in my home city.

Loosing work is hard enough, but you will bounce back, god and all of us have faith. Just keep pushing to get the scrap. I think of it not as "a scrap guy" but rather a commodities broker. think big, get big.

    god bless
