If the bumper is in good shape that should sell for better than scrap.

I tried the compactor idea out some time ago, just a household type. dint work very well, just didnt have enough power. It didnt smash them very well, nor have enough power that they would stay kinda bundled.

Probably will scrap the compactor - Yes it is heavy .

For the sake of principle I was a little pissed as I took one of the heater cores in and was paid $ 1.00 a pound
as if it was a irony brass core . But it was pure brass and actually had copper in the fin area ( I know copper it was true orange color) . This core came out of a heater box from a auto vintage late 1970 or 80s .
I said at least this is a brass rad @ $ 1.50 . Wile I realize i am only talking about a 3 pound core , this was a test sale - I have more like this and i want to be paid for what it is.
I might cut next one in half to make a point .
The way I see it the yard has taught me all the metals they will pay on . So I feel if I have it they need to be accurate.
I figure what is going on is this vintage types , are not showing up as much so they don't list it.
Similar to wheel weights that are listed as just wheel weights, with pricing based more on zinc and steel , so they get what ever lead still shows up at zinc price
