I've saving them up for some toll refining in the future to be honest. I know I need a bunch of them, but..it's better then selling them off as general ewaste at the moment. All that gold on them, while not as good as a Hughesnet or others, just pains me to ship them out with my regular loads. I can't comment on dish boards, as I don't get those. An nobody uses Hughesnet out here on my sandbar. Only folks I know who use HN are rv'ers.
So to answer..I dunno yet! Soon as I get my first batch done I'll make sure I post an update on it, till then in to my OMG ITS GOLD™ bucket it goes for future saving. I will post up some pics later on if I remember, otherwise it'll be late tomorrow night or Monday, when I return from my brief trip off the sandbar.
I think Mech said in his initial post on these boards he does the same with saving them up. So I can't be in to bad of company!

Mechanic is correct.
I have gotten a generic amp that needed a #4 torx but they are usually 5 or 6.
I got a 40 pc. security bit set at harbor freight for around $5. Works for just about anything and it is great for when you are breaking down hard drives and need various sizes and bits.
I don't know its been a while since I've looked at them. Its hard to say if they had flash plating they might be in the $1 each range if less it would be less. the white dots on the boards with four metal strips coming out of the are BeO they have gold in them.
if and when I get one I will look in to it again some more.

Screw extractors.
I have seen a similar product to these, made & invented in NZ. I don't think you'd have to drill it out first with small screws etc.
Those pics of the screws above, I think they actually don't even screw them in. Someone told me they use a special tool that just hammers the screw into place.
Once its in place, its made its own screw thread, so you have to unscrew it to get it out.

I just did a Direct Tv eye today, used T8 and T14, over the years ive gathered three main sets of security bits i use, The Drill Master( Harbor Freight) 100 piece set,The Tekton Every Bit set, has 135,and the Neiko extra long security bit set 32 pieces. The Neiko and Tekton are made in Tiawan, the drill master is Chinese. But they have held up well with regular use.
