guess the hair color

I'm doing some curb shopping.

A lady comes outside and yells as I'm throwing the truck in gear to drive away, "Hey are you taking that?!"

Me, "Yeah? Just collecting some scrap metal and it looks like you're throwing it out."

lady, "Well, we get charged by the landlord when we have extra and we haven't been charged for that yet!!!"

Me , "Ummmm, okkkkk, I'll put it back."


I'm in the process of putting it back when the husband comes walking up from the backyard.

Lady screams at her husband, "Honey, he can't have our garbage, can he? we haven't been charged for it yet!!!!!"

Husband looks over at me, "TAKE IT ALL!!!!!"



I should note that I wasn't going inside their garbage cans in the least bit. They were doing a garage cleaning or something and had the usual pile near their garbage cans.
