    Because you're a scrapper

Stopping by a business on the way to Wal-Mart, you find the guy to ask.
He says "Sure, just take it all" and you size up the job.

Digging in is exciting, you never know what you'll find.
Under the junk is the treasure you want, you dig, you sort, you load.

After a while, as the pile grows, you wonder if you should
have brought a trailer, or will the truck hold it all.

You scout out for materials to build side panels.
You move your tools and such out of the bed, you dig, you sort, you load.

Your back begins to hurt from bending and pulling.
You scrape your hand, then again in the same spot.

You remember you have on a good shirt just as something snags it.
It's too late so, wearing your new work shirt, you dig, you sort, you load.

Nobody bothers you as you pry the treasures out of the rubbish.
It's just you and a thousand new crawling friends.

Even the snake you see doesn't deter you from your mission.
You try not to think about it, you dig, you sort, you load.

It's a real life game of Tetris to get everything to fit.
You have to put light stuff in on bottom to keep it from blowing out.

Better items go up front to ride home with you.
You have to use all available space, you dig, you sort, you load.

Your shirt is now wet with sweat and a trickle runs in your eye.
It stings but you can't wipe it because your hands are grimy.

Your socks are wet now, but you're not sure why.
You have to put your wallet up because it's starting to rain, you dig, you sort, you load.

The sun beats down on you and your arms feel like jelly.
That ice that melted from your Bojangle's fountain drink sure tastes good.

You pass up a piece because it just isn't that great.
Then you think, I'd have wanted that yesterday.

You toss that one in the truck too and think
of the sorting and cleaning you'll have to do later, you dig, you sort, you load.

You walk shaky and feel just slightly dizzy but you're almost done.
You have to think of the money you'll get.

    You're ready to go home
You forgot about Wal-Mart, you dig, you sort, you load.

He comes out and says "Hey, you did that fast, I think I have some more in here".
You straighten up, brush some dirt off, take a deep breath, follow the man.

You see the new pile, it's even better if not as big.
You dig, you sort, you load, you smile......because you're a scrapper.
