    Congratulations on the score.

If you don't mind me asking....what is something like that worth?

I see one on ebay for 5k!!!!!!!!!!! Probably unrealistic to get that. This one sold for $600 IBM as 400E Server 170 V5R3 9406 170 2291 3D3RM | eBay

    Nice score!

VOG...not sure the value yet. Still going through everything. It appears to have all the original disks and manuals, as well as an upgrade, with all the disks and manuals.

scrapping...yea, I looked at all the sold listings and saw the 5k one. I think they are dreaming at that, for sure.

Sirscrappydoobydoo pass me sumptin from da cooler. Medicinal purposes...

I may be better off trying to sell of the software, manuals and some of the components, then scrap the rest. Or is it the side of me wanting to TEAR INTO THAT SUCKER!

I'd think the disks and upgraded parts, plus any parts which might go bad would sell well, possibly the manuals too(unless they're available online ; )

I wanted to mention that I have used a local company for shipping large items. They palletize/crate and ship. They even pick up if I need them to. They get really good shipping rates, so even with the extra charges for packing, the total is usually still less than me shipping it out myself. Maybe something to look into for those larger items people are hesitant to list on ebay.

Awesome score btw..would hate to have to break it down to pieces.

Haha I hear ya. Last week I got an old HP hard drive. Weighs 200lbs. Kinda want to take it apart, but I'm seeing if I can find it a home first...I'll give it awhile. It's easy to move around, it's in a case on wheels. I do use it as a table

I've shipped a number of things on pallets, and it really wasn't difficult at all, nor very expensive. I'd simply palletize it right in the back of my truck, take it to the terminal, and they'd take it from there with a forklift. I could get it within a few miles of anywhere, and they could pick it up there. One, going from Nashville to Vancouver BC Canada, the place just had it delivered right to their dock, and said in their feedback "you should be commended for your crating skills" ; )

This would be pretty easy peasy to get on a pallet and ship. I mean, for the right CHA CHING, I will personally deliver the thing!

BUTT I STILL! WANNA! RIP! IT! APART!!!!!

and if I do, Bear, I will be sure to take plenty of pics.
