    One thing to remember...and I reminded myself today vhecking ebay prices on about 20 servers I got for free...MANY times the price you get by selling the parts is more than the whole thing will bring. For I stance one server sold.similar to mine for $125...well hot.swap power supply, motherboard and cpu, hars drive caddies, even the front faceplate added up.to like $175 and I still have the 1u rack mount case I cpuld sell or scrap. So look at a parted system too to see if the upside is better....easier to ship too.

    Sniff Sniff...it is a sad, sad day. The autopsy on the IBM Server ... will begin later today. RIP! (Recycle It's Parts)

    It has served it's people well, and has donated it's usable parts, to ongoing research, and the support of "Jerry's Kids"! What a generous and selfless final act! To have it's appendages RIPPED apart, possibly saving the life of an ole distant cousin, in a foreign land. (thanks to fleecebay)

    To be converted into prime rib and baked taters, whereby the Bro and fam will yet eat yet again, for another day! prolly a week!! Maybe some shrimp, too!!!

    We will let you know the final details of the visitation and resting place. (how much we make off dat sucker) sniff sniff, It's a sad, sad day. #immagointohellforlying

    and this is a secret message ... to a secret few. the packages...with the "stuff" ... will get out this week! They may, or may not, include a Sirscrapalot Secret Decoder Ring.

    I have been at my daughters, in Indiana, since last week. She is at home on IV fluids, and a line to her stomach, for nausea meds. She is pregnant with #3 and at the doc as I write this. She is in the 2% who have 24/7 morning sickness. Not able to hold down even ice chips, which led to severe dehydration and an ER visit, then home care!

    So, I am back home for a few days, before I head out there again, to help with the gran-kids. Will make sure and get to the PO!

    Well, here are the skeletal remains. Sevices were held yesterday, at approx 12pm, eastern standard time. The final resting place is River Metals Crematory, State Ave facility. sniff sniff

    And yes, they were just as surprised as you, that I had that entire pile, in the back of my truck

    Christina did have to have the PICC line put in yesterday. They had a real hard time with the procedure. Will be heading out there again early am to take care of her and the grankids. So, I have not had a chance to takes pics and inventory everything that was removed. I can tell ya this, there was less dust and dirt in that thing than my desktop! It was really, REALLY maintained well. AND OHHHHH dem boards and what not is soooooooo purdyyyyyyyyyy

    So far, I have made 130.00 off the steel and lead acid batteries. That is all I have had time to get done. Did squeeze in a quick haul Tuesday. 20, 22in flat screens in pristine shape, 12 desktops of which 5 or so will get re-purposed and misc stuff.

    Off to bed for the Bro and to Indiana in the morn. More to come as things calm down with Christina. FAMILY FIRST!!!

    I don't think so, but a few of the members have posted pic's of their favorite yard.
    Here's mine;

    There is a baler right behind the big crane. He picks the lighter stuff out of the pile and bales it.

    Here was another yard about 30 mile away, nice clean scale.
