They're part of the Illumicutty. They control the worlds power cord supply.

    Cord Cutters

Ok, I must admit I do it on occasion when my trunk is full of other scrap. I won't leave that money behind when the big bulky items won't fit.

Since it's confession time, I'll admit only to the fact that there are a pair of sidecutters in every vehicle we own.

Some times its just the folks throwing it out, cut the cord, cause they think that will stop someone from taking it to scrap, etc. I never just cut cords, but hey thats the nice thing bout rocking a mini van...I can fit most things in there. Drive to the store see a fridge..brake, park..grab n go, no big ass truck an gas issues for me, nor do I have.."oh no..I brought the car..an there is a fridge." issues. (Side note..I miss my Hyundai. Was a awesome little car)

The tv smashers...down here, we catch you breaking glass in someones yard, you'll be seeing several folks ready to open a can of whoop ass.

Anyhow..I don't mind cord cutters. You go head an cut your cord, an leave me the other goodies. I don't mind.

Ive placed free items on the curb. Just to have the cords cut. And just today right up the street. There is a tv in half missing the goods on the inside. They could at least put a couple screws back in to hold it together.

I did cut a cord off a vacuume yesterday. Because i didnt feel like having it sit around the garage for a week or so till I could take it apart . Then around the corner was a big screen tv. Didnt cut the cord, took the whole thing.

The doctor offered to let me cut the cord. Nothing down there I wanted to see so I stayed up there holding my wife's hand. Besides he was getting paid good money, why would I do his work for him? ;-)

Man don't get me started on the TV tube smashers, they are awful. I take the TV, break it down, put out back together, and bring it to the recycling center for proper disposal. Leaving a TV carcass on the side of the road is just rude, in my opinion.

The cord cutters here in Australia are often female catalogue ( junk mail) deliverers.
There heart isn't in it as they often leave 6" or so behind. They appear to be under the direction of the husband
getting the wife to bring in more money.
They are usually newly arrived immigrants from Sri Lanka.

You know, think about it. If Thomas Edision hadnt broke tesla, by stealing all his inventions and leaving him penniless, we wouldn't need cords. Tesla had the ideo of wireless electricity, where literally you can hold a light bulb in your hand and it would light it up. The jacobs ladder and tesla coil were examples. He inviosned big versions of them that could transmit electricity for 100's of miles, no cords needed. But as usual big buiness snuffed him out. Just like the poor bastard ythat invented the diesl engine. All the diesel engine is a waste oil burner. The guy that invented it had a peanut factory. He had all the waste oil from manufactering so the idea donned on him. He figured out how to use the waste oil to run a power plant. Sadly he miraculously disappeared on a cruise ship never to be heard again and didnt make it to the patent office with his idea.

There is so many ideas and inspiration killed by big business its not funny. Fine example, is look on youtube. People have figured out to make a perptual motion machine essentially that makes energy and will not stop till it breaks. Essentially all it is a electric motor driving a generator head. Once the motor starts spinning, then genny head puts otl electricity which in turn feeds the electric motor keeping it spinning as welll as whatever electricity is left can be used for lights, anything electric. Esentially will never need nothing including fuel as it is self sustaining until the motor degrades over tme wiping the bearings out.

Soirry way off topic, need more coffee..lol
