    No cash for escrap USA

I recently sent in over a pound of Gold Fingers to cashforelectronicscrapusa. What a mistake. Shipping was free and I couldn't find a va or local (23188) buyer so I took the risk. Guess how much my check was. No really guess. $5 now that's my first sale but that seems awful Do not use them I've seen numerous complaints on other forums.

they are owned by "Cash For Gold"

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CJ_Environmental,_Inc.

you had to know they were a scam. When you Google there name it comes up with lots of scam warnings.

Had you done some reading on this forum you would have known that this is not the place to send your material. It is good that you brought it up and will come to the attention of the newer members to beware. This is why our member/buyers are so highly recommended and I advise others to check them out and the comments made by those who have used them. Mike.

for reals! how could someone possibly achieve a pound of gold fingers( I expect this means "trimmed) without knowing more about what to do with them? There must be several hours involved in the trimming process alone, why was no more invested in the search for a buyer ?

Thanks Thirdeye for the heads up, and condolences for your loss, but I think you'll find the general consensus here to be you only only have yourself to blame.
You'll find buyers here who will buy the cards you trimmed(at a reduced price from "non-trimmed", but still very competitive) and maybe use that to see just how much a mistake you made

Wishing you better luck in the future

it's true mrbill, maybe he didn't know, but he did find them online(i don't think there could be any doubt of that), so he must have done some little bit of research finding them, and if the rest of that post has any truth to it, such as "When you Google there name it comes up with lots of scam warnings.", and I suspect it is, he stopped his research in a very silly place.
I've run into websites and found no warnings at all, and been scammed. Trouble is, after the fact, there is no financial return, there's only sinking more money into the pit trying.
I agree, that is a hard lesson he's learned there, but hopefully it can serve to be a warning to others.

To the origional poster I would say to contact the company again expressing your displeasure and let them know that the fingers pay XX per pound. (check the buyers here) The company should go back and review what you sent them and send another check, this all was told in a posting here. It told how to deal with them and not to back off.
That company (not to be confused with Mario & co.) goes by about 5 different names.

Don't think there was any kicking while down, E just doesn't sugar coat it or beat around the bush, like most on here don't.

From reading their complaints, the OP is lucky he got anything for his fingers. 25 lb minimum per package before they will pay you anything.
