I got my first pool heater the other day. Took it apart and it has several copper tubes in there and also some pretty good weight in steel. I got about 15 lbs of copper out of it. Copper here is going for $2.90lb right now, overall it was definitely worth going to get it. Gonna start looking around for more of these.
Yes they are worth good $
My pool buddy breaks them down in the winter to avoid hanging himself out of boredom

Pools run year around down here. I have seen the guts of a heater, and I have seen even a larger quantity of copper in them. They are a great item to grab. Never pass one up.

The only one I ever got,I thought was a furnace at first lol. I made $92.00 off it I think it was, most of it was in red brass, about $60.00 worth.

Them suckers are heavy. The first pool heater I got I thought was some kind of shop heater. Figured it out when I got home and read poolheater on the side. Doey!

Make sure it's not Cupronickel or copper-nickel! You could be getting alot more $$$$$$$$$. Have your yard shoot it if your not sure.
