    I think the signatures are only on the Mac Plus, that's what I read from Wikipedia.

    the pic you show of the computer on does not look like its booting into os, it looks like a blank screen, there should be icons on the desktop

    The old Apples I used to get would boot to a floppy disk icon in the center of the screen, with the little dial going round and round(waiting). I was told it was waiting for me to put in the OS disk (which I didn't have)

    I don't have the floppy it boots off of, so there is no OS.

    Did you try vintage computer forum? You can post a sell or trade thread. Make it for local pick up only. They are a bit cheap over there but maybe you could work out a trade for some scrap towers. I sold some keyboards to a guy here locally plus also got 10 towers from an ad I placed there.
