    sticker shock

    was doing some clean up out in the yard this week. gathered up some cast al, die cast al and #2 insulated. called the local yard for some prices. wow. #2 insulated .75. cast al .40. die cast .15 not even worth the fuel to haul it.

    I've always thought that "die cast" is another way to say "zinc". The price difference between the various grades of aluminum shouldn't be that great. So I'm wondering if you were given a price for die cast zinc.

    It varys here too.
    Cast .45
    clean .60
    rims .70
    Paintes siding .50
    dirty .15

    Not alum but E waste still at .05 LOL
    If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

    #2 Insulated dropped .15 here in Citrus Co FL last week at .70# down from .85#

    Aluminum and copper prices are down here so i'm hanging on to it but shred prices are up.

    Had me scared so I took in my 153 lbs #2 ins wire and got $1.05 a pound for it!
