    ust won my second auction...

This time I bought 20 desktops and about 15 flat screen monitors for $61. Based on the amount I paid for travel on my last trip, I figure I will have about $110 in them, or approximately 2.90 per unit. I think that is pretty good. The only thing not in the units are the hard drive. Hopefully, there isn't a bunch of empty shells in the middle of the pallet... Now, that is about $5.50 per computer, but I also get the 15 flat screen monitors and about 10 old printers. I should wind up pretty good on this load. I have a contact to whom I sell my flat screens. I'm not sure of the size of the screens, but I usually get $10 to $15 a piece for them.

I'll keep you posted and I'll post a pic when I pick them up next Friday.

I'm happy that there are auctions that some of you find computers to make money at scrap value. I have yet to run into one in California where the per unit price is under $20.

    Congratulations!

At 20.00 I wouldn't scrap any computer. I would collect them, make pallets, then find an auction house.

Picked these up today. 20 desktops, 10 monitors (but all say "bad" on them), 5 printers, 4 APC Backups, and one box of miscellaneous finger boards, ram, processors, fans, heatsinks, etc.

The jewels of the pickup: One Core2Duo machine and one with either a Pentium chip or a Pentium Pro. I haven't opened yet, but can tell it is one of them.... The rest of the machines are P2, P3 and P4.
