    A new corporate client

Well, today I received a phone call from someone who saw my ad on Craigslist. As it turns out, this client is about 90 minutes away from me. They were looking for someone to pick up their old computers as they begin to upgrade/replace their current inventory. It turns out that he was looking for someone he could schedule a pick up with in January, 2014. In addition, he would have a number (20 to 25) laptops and desktops every six months. So, we agreed on the terms, set a date for late January, and agreed to talk every two weeks to make sure he wasn't ahead of schedule or behind schedule.

I did "background" check by calling the company that he claimed to be with to verify that he in fact worked at that corporation. I verified his name and his title. Then, I asked to be connected to his phone. He picked up and was a bit surprised that I contacted him on his work line. When I told him that it was just to verify who he was and that he wasn't a competitor playing games, he was impressed. At that point he said that he would check with other IT guys he works with at neighboring corporations to see if they had any waste that I can pick up from them when I come to pick up from him. As it turns out...I may have to take my trailer after all...

2014 looking up. It seems that I have expanded my scheduling calendar and my service area all at the same time.

Have you got a 2014 calendar, yet?
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
