    Never hesitate

Seems I can't ever learn to grab it while I can...

About a week ago I was dumpster diving and pulled some goodies. Truck was full but there was still some metal to be had. I figured I would return the next day to finish.

I return. Dumpster has been emptied.

Today, on my way home from Dr's appointments I passed a Wendy's that was loading a roof top unit. AC? Heat? Both? No idea. I figured I had time to run to this other clinic to have my blood work done and then return to ask what their plans for the old unit were. I return about 40 minutes later. Not a worker in sight. No idea if they really did finish that quick, or the crane was setting it and left, to be hooked up later by another crew.

So that's just me rambling...reminding people to never hesitate. What hurts is I could have delayed the blood work since it was an open appt, but it was getting to be late enough I wanted to get it over with so I could eat. Shoulda just sucked it up and gone around the block for all the 5/10 minutes it would have taken to ask.

We should do a list of what we 'Don't get' because we didn't get it in time.

Yesterday I lost a Ali pan from beside a goodwill clothing donation box.
Last week, lost 2 fridge compressors & my tools, sidecutters & screwdrivers I left at a spot & forgot to pick them up as I left. Two microwave ovens.

Last month, 2 wire bed frames to burn copper wire on, 2 fridge compressors, empty tool box, mains electrical box with brass/copper wire inside.
I put then on the inside of a empty property behind the fence, came back a day late to find it all gone. Found another wire bed frame since to burn plastic coated wire off on.
Buncha Ali window blinds, wanted to do that to see what its worth in Ali.

    $50 or more....gone.

Plus side, found 10Kg extruded Ali heatsinks someone was gonna scrap & then threw out, I find!

Usually I hear back within a day. Have yet to hear anything. I am sure it's fine. It was my 6 month post op checkup. I was good at 3 months and nothing's changed that I know of.

Slightly lesser loss but on my recycle bin rounds at work I must have been following the pick up crew cause all the bins had been emptied.. (I usually can get (no pun intended) around 20-30 AL cans a night.. ahh well..

I picked up a buddy to help me move a fish tank yesterday and a couple of houses down from his place was an old gas stove. I didn't have room in the truck for the stove and the tank I was going to get so I figured I would grab it after I moved the tank. A few hours later it was gone. I thought it might be but I took the chance. I should have grabbed it right away and let it at his place until I brought him back.

Yup; I once saw a fidg while driving down the road, went one block to turn around and by the time I got back to the frifg (about 30 sec.) a man was loading it in his truck. This has happened to me many times.

Something similar happened with me, but I think I was on the better end of the deal. Someone posted a CL curbalert for a eliptical, vending machine, paint sprayer, and flat screen tv. Got there as soon as I could and someone was there with a van loading up something. Kept going down the road and they drove off...Spun around and grabbed what was left. All they picked up was the TV. Eliptical works and the vending machine will need some work. Just a small personal 2 selection unit. Be great if I still drank. The paint sprayer I have yet to try. As I was pulling away here comes a van with a trailer, may have been the same guy too. HAHA

You win some and you lose some. It just make you appreciate the good day even more. I know what you are talking about with blood work and having to fast until your blood work it done, that sucks.
