    Entepreneur gone awry

Got an email at work today that there had been 7 cases of someone "harvesting" Catalytic converters from cars in Retail parking lots and even our workplace parking lots even during daylight hours.. Another moron has to go and ruin it for the honest ones once again. Hope they find the guy and throw the book at him.

Sounds like some of the guys around here. They speed around and dig through dumpsters, take items out of people's trash cans and even go as far as taking yard decorations, like old plows and metal figures. I know that taking the items out of garbage and dumpsters is just helping out the environment, but in my area it is illegal without the owners permission to take items even out of the trash. I have had stuff stolen from me from one of my first scrap jobs. Bought a trailer house and someone went and stole the aluminum TV antennae I had outside. Always get a funny look from people here and from police when I am driving around with a full load on the truck or trailer. All the items I receive are given to me through CL or an account I have. Makes it tough for the honest guys to not get a bad name.

Yep, The same thing is happening around here. At the mall and other stores parking lots. I thought that is why they have security cameras in the lots for these type of events. kinda hard to miss the guy walking with a sawzall threw the parking lot crawling under cars.
