Hello everyone! Sorry it's been a while but I've brought some pictures to hopefully make up for lost time!

I didn't have a choice in whether it was torn down or not unfortunately - it was just something I got lucky enough to be able to take apart.

Just think, back in that day it was hand wired, nothing automated back then.

I don't think it was an oscilloscope. Its some sort of vectorscope--I think they were used for work on the old CRT TV's and the like. Maybe someone who has worked with these will chime in...

I'm sure if you put up your request on this site for a 'scope, someone will have one or come across one. I would like to find one, too!!

"A vectorscope is a special type of oscilloscope used in both audio and video applications. Whereas an oscilloscope or waveform monitor normally displays a plot of signal vs. time, a vectorscope displays an X-Y plot of two signals, which can reveal details about the relationship between these two signals. Vectorscopes are highly similar in operation to oscilloscopes operated in X-Y mode; however those used in video applications have specialized graticules, and accept standard television or video signals as input".

Probably late 60's very early 70's. Julie I think I see some gold legged "germanium" transistors on those boards.

I have mixed emotions whenever I see the old hand-wiring. "Man, that's gonna be a slow cleanup" vs. "There's gold somewhere in those components". Looks like it was interesting.

Do you still have the tube? Some of those where coated with PMs on the inside gold, silver or Pd. It requires the tube to be broken but can be worth the time to check.

On those boards they will have Ta caps too not many but some.

There is a sticker on the metal casing for the tube that says restored in april of '88 - I wanna say that I saw a date in the '70s somewhere though
