    Christmas Cards for Clients

I recently got a Christmas card from the women that does my taxes and she put her business card inside. I do plan on having her do my taxes next year as well.

I thought maybe this would be a good idea to do with my clients. Send them a Christmas Card, wish them a Merry Christmas, thanks them for their business and perhaps they will call you after Christmas to pickup their old TV or other electronic.

Has anyone tried this? Maybe a little to late for this year but, I might give it a shot.

I just saw this thread. A good idea Mr.Sam.

If you do manage to do it this year, let us know how it works out for you. It is a good idea, reminds them of who you are, what you do, an that you care about your customer/client.

I remember when I was a kid, my grandfather would always have a tip for the trash man, mail man, lawn guy, etc at Christmas time. An **** if the mail didn't always show up on time, the trash was always picked up, an the lawn well taken care of.

Filing this one away for next year. Heck I might even hand deliver a couple this year. Thanks for bringing this up Mr.Sam

This is a good idea and gives people a little nudge to remember you. They might not have anything for you...but might have guests over during the holidays that do.

    Update

I went ahead and sent out the Christmas Cards. I sent out about 40 cards but, I had many customers I didnt send them to. I have already gotten calls from some whom I have sent cards to but, not sure if it was the card or they would of called anyway but, I figure the card didnt hurt. The thing that might of effected the result of this was I got my phone stolen at my yard sale before Christmas so, its possible that some may of called when I didnt have a phone

I think I will do this next year also but, maybe a little differently. Next year I will send 50 cards but, just to the most local and loyal customers from my list.

I lost a cellphone years ago. Wish I knew that all I had to do was call the provider & get a new SIM card set up for me to recieve my calls on.

And that for less than $30 I could get a small unit at the supermarket that I can put my SIM card into & it will make a backup of all my phone numbers.........

I got another call from someone I sent a Christmas card to and the first thing he said to me was "Hey, thanks a lot for the Christmas card that was cool! I'm going to get you a lot of work this year." He was a little older guy that lives in a senior community. I figure it is a good idea to send cards to especially older folks. Seniors like getting cards in the mail.
