    Ha! Nice score!

I saw the life fitness in one of the pic's an knew it had to be an exorcise machine of some kind! What does a treadmill weigh? I'm curious. Got an eliptical I'm holding on to, cause it still works an it's a heavy sucker.

    Nice score there Scrapping4ever!

I like treadmills for the weight but their motors tend to be those nasty indestructible ones so unless u got a yard to sell motors to don't even pull that sucker out waste of time

I was too busy with another job that I passed up a treadmill. Thing still worked they said and just the it had some cosmetic damage. Heavy sucker too. Anyway, while dropping metal off at the yard from the other job, on the pile is the same treadmill I just happened to end up passing up. I have gotten an exercise bike and an elliptical. Looking to start a gym in the basement. Brother has a bench press and some free weights. Now just need the ambition after working 10 hours and then scrapping to work out. HEHE

I have scrapped 5 of them in the past , if not more .
Good weight . I usually take out motor some wire and then give as is .The weight of (vinyl walking sheet wood under it ) non metals nullifies the quest for short
Some use those electromagnetic steel motors - But Not yours .

I LOVE finding these! Nice big heavy motors and sometimes you get lucky and they have aluminum frame!

I have found enough to make sides for my dads Cushman truck out of the wood. That wood piece is a lot of the weighta lso of the machine. The motors and wood.

I have one, but it's a nice commercial one that has Sledge's name all over it for when he's gets down to my sandbar.

Good to know there's goodies inside it, if I find one worthy to be scrapped.

Got to love this site. I just scrapped a "cheap" elliptical yesterday and it had a hole in the plastic case. Because of this^^^^ post I looked at the flywheel before tossing it on the trailer, and YEP, a copper band. Not a 2 pounder, but I never would have looked otherwise.

    Thanks afmedic!
