They're really simple. Should just have a trigger or something to grip to turn it on. See if it works. You'll get at the very least $100 for it if it does.
Edit - Make sure the buffer wheel is in the air!

NA, seriously, be careful with it till you learn to run it. The handle spins around fast and can HURT.

They can be balanced simply by raising and lowering the handle. Trying to fight one with brute force is futile. I've used some, although not enough to master it, but seen some guys run em with one hand while they're standing there talking to somebody, maybe even sippin a coffee with the other one i guess

Had one like that last year or the year before. They got a nice motor in them and the cord was heavy too. I thought the cord was a hose at first (green cord). Desent weight of cast alum also. I remember breaking down the motor watching Phil Humber pitch his perfect game against the seattle mariners.

Rock or tilt the handle also controls the side to side. I got a big lesson about running them back in basic training. Only way to keep the old floors at Ft Knox shining in the World War barracks.
If you didn't watch tho, you could knock yourself out and do some major damage.

Right, hold it at just the right height to keep it from running away, and tilt it to go left or right, there's definitely a trick to it

alrighty, thing was wayyyy old and crusted/rotted to worry about selling.
Took it apart.
Bottom piece of cast = 6lbs
misc cast pieces/parts = 2 lbs
Handle =Irony because I cant get the top and bottom piece off = 15 lbs
Cord(s) = 16 lbs
Rotor drum = 33 lbs
copper motor/windings thingy = 30 lbs
the only steel piece besides the handle was the top of the motor housing and that was maybe 1/2 lb
