some great news and some not so great today

the good news my biggest customer who is on hiatus until March called and has 3 pallets of very old servers he found in one of the warehouses they will be here Friday about noon. horrrrrrray.

the bad, gotta go in and have a back operation to fix my left side nerves before the first. I just turned 70 yesterday and the Drs don't know if Obumer care will pay for it after the first of January.

they will no longer pay for hip and knee joints after age 73, so they were told.

"anyone who thinks scrappin is easy money ain't doin it right!"

Olddude, you're not too far ahead of me. As for the body wearing out, I'm actually looking forward to the "Incorruptible body" that we have been promised.

Remember the quote, it's my favorite.

“Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well
preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways,
chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body
thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming
    “WOO HOO what a ride!”

I can truly say, I did it my way all the way, and have but few regrets except some innocents that got bumped and bruised along the way.

Not necessarily. There will be a board established to determine care/treatment available. I'd really encourage older people to get hip, knee and back surgeries done as soon as possible. Not intended to start a political discussion. Look it up yourself or consult with your doctor.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

zackly, I have medicade, medicare and VA, all three have cut back services and payment. none are freebies I paid for all three. I just got a bill from the last operation with a whole list of meds they no longer pay for.

when they took the money out of my pay for 50 years they promised to take care of me medically. and SSA try to raise a family of 5 on 756 a month. and the VA well, they promised a lot which I paid for with a bullet in the leg, one through my lg intestine, havent had a good bathroom experience since. I cried like a baby the day my 7 year old daughter asked me about the scars on my arms and body and told me she didn't like them they scared her.

sry for the rant. Thank you all for your well wishes. Merry Christmas to all and a health and prosperous new year from us to you!!!!!!!!!!!
