In todays Amerika it is wiser to be safe then sorry. or in some cases judged by 12 rather then carried by 6. No neighborhood is completely safe any more. Protection from the police is only minuets away, when seconds count.

our yard is 30 miles out in the country in a small community. We sort of handle things here old school. in 3 years we have only had 2 thefts and one attempt that we can tell.
out of the 3 one we didn't catch, they tore the back wall out of the storage building and got some copper. one got away with 50 lbs of copper, we tracked him down and let him know old school style he was no longer welcome in Fountain. He moved that night to Panama city 30 miles away.

The third was run off by my son with one shot from the AK. He tracked him down at a little country store about 100 yards down the road. The guy had peed and pooped his pants and I'm pretty sure won't be back. Some how the rhomer got out a few years ago, that since I was in a special unit in the Navy, our place was completely booby trapped.

Sometimes old school is the only way to go. It works well in my America.
