So apparently it is now a quarterly event that I drive an employee to the urgent care center for stitches. We have a pool on how many stitches today's injury will require. I'm saying ten.
Sigh.

Had Many and should of had more.
had 3 "scratches" this last year that should have been stitched but that would have meant leaving work sites and wasting time in the emergency room so i just usually grab a napkin some tape and a glove and go back to work last one i almost got the skin on my knuckle lines up accept for the bulge in my finger but as a kid i was in like monthly for stitches as i was constantly doing something stupid
Did almost the same thing this past summer. Sliced my thumb from top to bottom on the back of a washer I was helping my boss install at one of his laundry mats. Countless butterfly strips and rolls of gauze. Still can feel the line where it was cut and its been dry ever since with a slight bit of feeling loss but functional.
Wow was I off! Only five stitches!
HA. not a bad thing to be wrong about
Never had stitches
probably should have many times i've seen my bones more than i would like to. but i'm cheap and don't carry health sooo you know tape gauze and hydrogen peroxide see how it looks in the morning.
There ain't nothing wrong with an honest days work. Anyone who says otherwise is a fool.- Old Man
This is why they make super glue. Last time I went for stitches..that's about what they used. Easier to just do it myself at home. lol.
Super glue or staple gun depending on the depth..haha! Make your tools an supplies pull double duty!
Sirscrapalot - Super Glue it's a wonderful thing.

Depends on how you cut yourself IMO. If I cut my finger in the kitchen, ya id super glue it if it was bad enough. If I cut it at work, theres a million and one toxic things at work that i dont want trapped in a cut. Id rather have a doc look at, clean and stitch properly.
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

Jesus guys. If you cut the crap out of yourself go get stitched up. Refusing to get stitches isn't tough, it's just dumb.
me to. If it's glueable, can be fixed with duck tape, I'm doing it first. I'm up to date on tetnus, so unless I lose a finger, or I'm gushing to bad to bandage up, home care first, then I'll get bent over at the er.
Sirscrapalot - ER =
I'm just referring to myself here, if I was burly an had a crew to worry over an all that, I'd send their butts to the doc to..lol. Myself tho..glue, tape, a shot, an a prayer..not in that order necessarily. lol
Sirscrapalot - Good to see ya posting again Burly!
Yep, which is why I usually have a roll on me, or near by. lol.
