Finally a good haul on trash night.

Its been a long, long time since I came across this much metal from curbco. A tv, washing machine, air conditioner, camping cot frames, alot of poles, one person even had their metal in a separate trash can!
The weirdest thing was we found two electric panel boxes with switches. Is there anything good in these? Gonna take the motor out of the washer, never did that before either.
And here we were just going out to dinner in the Ol' Lady's prius, when it got full, went back to get the truck and filled it too! After spending the last three days moaning about not having anything to tear apart...

Congrats. If the wife wants to go to dinner, we take the one ton. The seat is full of grease, so I do not have to take her out very often and if we find something, I can haul it. It pisses her off until Valentines Day, her birthday, or Christmas. Then she shows her appreciation. B******* for 349 days a year for three days of glory. Might scratch the windings on that motor before you pull it. Most of the motors I get are aluminum and aren't worth pulling. YMMV.

As for the switches (breakers), there should be silver contacts. I think it was Brasscatcher that had a thread on that.

Will check out the windings. thanks for the heads up. I figured it was just gonna go in the motor pile.

nice find on the panel boxes. You should have wire, copper, brass, silver contacts in the breakers and some nice heavy copper buss bars.

Thanks Brass. Is there a pictoral somewhere? I can't wait to rip 'em down.
