    Carpet of Finger Cards

I bought this stuff today. I'm not going to say how much I paid, but I'm going to be making a good chunk of change off this one.

These are hard drives. Probably close to 30 LBS there. That's a large size glove on top for size:

These boards came off of 5 1/4 Floppy drives.

And now for the GOOD stuff Look at this board! These are my first gold IC chips and there socketed! I don't know if I should pull them off or not though.

Does anyone know what these are? I pulled them off some of the boards, and yes, they were socketed.

    Anyway, I hope y'all like the photo's.

The hard drives with your glove on them are nice. If you end up scrapping them, check the reader arm for some nice gold circuitry. Here's my thread about these. http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/day-l...ohh-shiny.html Not all of them have it, but some do.

on the large ic chips on the board it might say 8086 8087 8088 , i dont see any isa slots on it so that will bring the value down alot but still could be a valuable board

I just re-checked the board with all the gold IC's and it turns out they are DOUBLE LAYERED. There is another set of the exact same chip underneath the one you see. So they are not socketed, but soldered and double layered. Interesting.

Yep, I'm with jghilino. I'm straining my eyes trying to see some details on those boards because some of them look as if they might be valuable as non-scrap. Is there a way we can zoom in that I don't know about? Or are they just static pix?

These are most likely memory chips. These boards are IBM boards for sure. It looks like there was a PC/AT
at the far end of the picture sitting on top of some computers. Nice!

Good eye, Durango. I couldn't make that out on my crappy little laptop screen.

IBM PC/AT's (IBM 5170) sell on eBay for $200-$300. A clean system in good cosmetic condition sells for more.
