    Good idea, does it look like this? If so, solar project people want them. It's a Fresnel lens used to magnify images, but also concentrates the sunlight like a regular magnifying glass. I saw a kid in one of the yards I go to burning pieces of paper with one of these. lens fresnel 56 | eBay

    I took a survival class when I was a boy scout. There was something like that in the fire starting lesson. you could light up paper from 5 feet away in a few seconds. kinda fun
