While out scrapping Monday night picking up some random curbside metals, I seen a box with an old doll inside. So I took it home and here it turned out to be a 1935 Shirley Temple doll. So what are some of your best finds?

Just this morning, I found a Purple Rain DVD still sealed next to a dumpster
One of the better ones though was a couple boxes of plastic Skoal and Copenhagen tobacco can openers. I sold them all as a bunch for a couple hundred.
Donuts
an old vaccum cleaner my neighbor sold on fleabay for 75 bucks.
A Siesta chair with ottoman, that wasn't metal. Other good finds that we're made out of metal include: a cast iron mantle clock, seven rolls of silver dimes, 13 Russell Woodard sculptura chairs, and much more. Sadly I moved from where I got all this from to a place that has no garbage collection and people have to take their garbage to a collection site, no more curbco for me.

Enough used decking to re-do 2 trailers, and a few other projects. It was an absolute downpour, we drove by, and I said "I hate to say this, but turn around" lol

(2) heavy huge cherry tv ..I think they are called amoirs? (sp?) The doors slide open to the inside for watching tv. they aren't made of cheap wood either.

I find alot of good real wood furniture that I like to refinish and sell. Found a full set of stock rims to a 57 belair that I sold for almost 2 grand. Would have been more but they were abit rusted out. A few working flat screens. I don't just go looking for metal. I look for anything I can make money with. I love when apartment complexes do evictions.
Well, it was made of metal: A World War 2 Japanese Officer's ceremonial sword. I found it in an apartment complex dumpster. Sold it for $800.00!

Had an ad on CL for free metal removal - drove out to a yuppie-ville to pick up some stuff some guy was cleaning out from his garage - we got there and it was a fridge, a salamander, a 5 year old john x300 lawn tractor with a missing cowl, and some weights..
Tractor fired right up - sold it on CL same day for $200 - sold the salamander for $50 and scrapped the rest for like $37.00.. pretty awesome
Old railroad lantern from Pennsylvania RR still have it. 8mm home movie projector which sold for $50. Fender guitar amp sold for $75 with water damage. IBM Model M keyboard, wire cut still got $25 for it. CompaqIII 286 computer $50 not working and busted keyboard. Still have 2 of those that work and looking to sell.

About 90 sq ft of very nice natural slate tile, most was still in the packages. Will probably use it for a fireplace surround.
Scrapping a metal bed frame the owner came out with a cart full of stuff for the curb. Asked if i could take the box's of stuff. He said sure it's my daughters old stuff she doesn't want any longer. Took home 3 box's and some random metal items. Second box opened had a jewelry box inside. Ended up with 2300 in gold rings, earnings, and chains. Their was even a 1 oz silver coin inside.
Felt a little guilty for not taking it back but quickly got over it when i though it would just be in a landfill never to be seen again. Only sold the rings for 750. Wife kept the other stuff cause she likes to look pretty
