Good News

Well fellas, along with my new garage, I just acquired an almost endless supply of just about anything. I work at a semi/trailer shop. Just got the okay to take anything I can haul away. They have trailers that get hauled away every so often, but any steel, aluminum, copper, or brass I can carry I can take home. I better get to emptying that old garage out!

Them connectors on your airlines are usually cast alum with a brass fitting. Not a whole lot of weight but it adds up. See if u can score some old tire chains they're easy to store and a 55 gal drum of them is no joke

Sounds like a trip to the scrap yard after every shift. Talk to the yard and you might be able to get a better price for combination materials hauled in bulk. You will not make as much money, but you would only have to handle it once. If there is that much stuff, a turn and burn strategy might be considered.

Lucky! My boss was never that nice, he said that was money out of his pocket. We had plenty of spare tire racks we cut off to put trailer skirts on(I want to kick the engineer in the nuts who designed trailer skirts). The power cords for the lights would weigh up some if you can get any junk ones from the trucks. You hit the jack pot if you can take the old brake drums since their about 100 ibs a piece!

yup. Anything I can carry away. Just tonight picked up about 50 pounds of old brass, once I strip it I'm going to guess around 70 pounds of copper, a few drums and a nice pile of aluminum.
