Good job there John. You saw an opportunity to profit, an you did. Hat's off to you. Some may say it's not good to mess with TV's. I disagree, an lots of posts on here do also. Now some folks won't due to regulations in their neck of the woods, which is understandable. If you can't dispose of the rest of the tv properly, you don't want to get into messing with them. Make sure you know the laws an rules for your area. There is money in TVs and Monitors.
There is nothing wrong with taking TVs(if you can do it right!) just as there is nothing wrong with not taking them. There is money to be made. I do tv's myself now an then, and I'm usually happy with what I yank out of them. It takes me all of 5 minutes to break a tv down. You to will get quick with it.
My best piece of advice..Only you can decide what is worth your time. Not me, not KZ, not the rest of the forum. Only you. We can tell you what we think about it, but..if your happy with what your making then keep at it, an to hell with the rest I always say.
Those copper yokes will add up, as will everything else you find them. An remember, not all tv's are created equal. Some contain gold ( looking at you projection screen DPL's), but most don't. Some contain nice boards ( flat screens of all kinds) an some have just crappy old brown boards. Even those brown boards will contain goodies for you. From alum to copper bearing items. It all adds up. TVs an Monitors took me from part time, to a full time business. I don't take as much as I used to, but I'll still take them when folks ask, or drop them off to me.
Good luck, keep at it, an don't let anyone tell you what YOUR time is worth. You will eventually learn what is worth YOUR time an what isn't.
