mystery boxes are always worth the gamble

so earlier this morning I went to a local auction that was a warehouse renter that was selling off goods inside left by the tenet. kind of like storage wars but this was stuff being sold on pallets, each pallet being sold separately. there was a lot of good things but machines parts and such I do not have a good connection to make any money off of really. I did not get there to early so I did not look at lots much just sat down and waited so I did not even know about this lot. so we walk over to this and I am about in the middle and as soon as he said its a pallet of mixed electronics I got up front as my ears perked up lol.
looked and was as everyone else I think at first seeing the monitors, 8 of them on top of boxes and keyboards wires and such its what you could see behind the plastic wrap. no computers could be seen at all and when the guy started it off at $200 I lost most of the energy I had. after silence he said what would you give me not really talking to me but still felt awkward so I said $10, then this darn guy further back bid $25 jumping it and back and forth we went and in a matter of a few seconds I was up to $50 cause those boxes were the only thing really that curiosity likes to kill my wallet with and I won it.
so I got out loaded up and started breaking down at home. monitors were crap for scrap 2 even had there cords ends cut off. keyboards wires and everything was maybe $15 worth of scrap. opened a bigger box and whats inside $10 worth of packing stuff and some ribbon cables. not looking good at making any money I went and grabbed a smoke moved the stuff around to my break down places in the garage and went to lift a box on the table and crash everything dropped out the bottom of the box. 8 motherboards nothing special but still money and getting better going through it. 15 hard drives 2 500gb rest 80-120gb all in these makeshift cases that if I did not look I would not have know they were hard drives but all working.
so next box please drumroll......... 15 brand new in the box in the box lol I486 dx award softward half size boards that I only new from ebay what they were cause I would have just pulled the 486's out if I did not see how much they can go for so will try and sell them all over time. still have to sell untested since I have no way of doing so. then thinking I hit gold already truly with the 486 but what should appear in the next but of course best for last box. 14 Pentium pros in the tray used not new pulled already with nice white icing I call it, and in various holders and even wrapped in tissue type paper, 20 amd k-5, 34 nec gold tops , a mix of 17 larger smaller intel double golds , 54 yes 54 of the sun gx gold bottoms, and the Halloween bag wrapped and taped with 129 cyrix 6x86.
I put all these on my table and smoked 3 more cigs with the biggest smile on my face with frozen toes and finger tips with the biggest gold fever I have ever had, molten . called my good friend at the college that can handle this to refine himself and came and got them all. it was like seeing your children being kidnapped. he is a very trustworthy person wanting to make money refining and crafting versus what I do for the same money. cause it feels like millions.
sorry no pics but its was fast day and his time was limited so I packed all these up without thinking about it.
