Have you scrapped out vending machines?

I have a local auction selling about 31 various vending machines including coffee machines, snack machines, and a few coin changers. I usually only work in escrap but this looks like it could be something easy to turn over for cash. The auction states that these are parts machines and have had parts pulled from them - so I don't think this would be something I would try and repair, just a straight tear down and trip to the local yard.

Anyone ever found any goodies in these machines or should I at most pay under shred price?

there may be resale parts in those machines
Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.

It depends on make/model. Usually coin mechs are worth taking out of any machine.

Pics if you get it an break it down. Don't recall a thread with pictures during breakdown! Same with arcade machiens if anyone gets them. I remember a past thread on both topics, but not specifics.

I'd take one just to see the inside of the bugger. Like Ryan said, should be resale value in the coin mech if its working. I'd do some research on it if you get it, even as a parts machine. You'll lest know if it's worth pulling anything out for resale.

    Good luck an again..pictures!

I know this thread is a few months old, but I just got a call from a guy who wants me to pick up a vending machine. He says it is an "off brand" and he estimates it is about 15 years old. It works sporadically and he is tired of dealing with it. Said he had a tech check it out but was unsure of the problem and due to its age he (the tech) questioned if he could get parts (of even if he could whether or not it would be worth repairing).

Anyway, this should be interesting...now I just have to figure out how to load it....
