Try going in and asking the owner/manager if you could work out a deal with them.

found a dumpster i will visit again

i thought about doing that brandon. i will as soon as i am able to get off early enough one day that they are still open. i work 6 days a week and they close by like 5. i want to be able to go in person and exchange information with them. but i will have to wait till it is a less busy day. i repair assembly line machines during the day for like 12 hours so itbis hard to get to go see alot of business owners. i will just pick for now on my way home from work and way to work

Try giving them a call to Johny. Sometimes they'll have you call the owner to set something up with them. So may save you a bit of time in that regard, an less worry about catching them when their open. If they close at 5, probably someone there till 6, tallying up sales, etc.

Or call, find out best time to call an talk to the manager/owner, an do so during lunch. If your prepared with your "why to use us" speech, it should go fast an quick. Weekends will always be busy for a thrift store of course, but still try in the afternoon. Down here on the sandbar are thrift stores stay busy all week long, but I'm a tourist spot. They do slow down in the afternoon an I find I have better luck then if I need to talk to someone. In the mornings their busy putting things out, doing sales, etc. Your thrift stores may vary..YTSMV..haha.

Either way good luck, thrift store accounts can be lots of fun, and good rewards. Let us know how it works for ya.

I call those dumpsters "water-holes." It's like the one hole in the wild where a thirsty animal can always get a drink.

Keep quenching your thirst brother. Now, don't share your water hole with anyone. In fact, you should take things one step further. Go inside the business, introduce yourself, tell them what you do, and just maybe you don't have to go into the dumpster at all. Get it?

Yea..it's way more fun to show up an have your totes full of goodies, stuff that would have been in the 'hole' but now is in your tote/container.

Good luck when you do go inside, it's a whole nother world!

Awesome, glad it worked out for ya man. Be sure to kick them some donations now an then, kind of as a thank you, an a bank of karma. One of the ones I deal with, I do this. Now an then kick them some copper I'll save up for them, cause they scrap shred mostly. Or if I get something that works good enough for resale I'll give it to them to sell it, stuff like that.

Now stay to your word, get it everyday and enjoy, cause that water hole just became a honey pot.

Just a suggestion, if you feel particularly bold ask them to put not only electronics in there but any metal-containing item they might discard. You might be surprised by what gets thrown away.

Nothing like a dumpster that pays! Just not at night, nothing good happening around dumpsters in the dark.
