I posted an ad on CL under services/labor and moving 3 days ago and got a call for an aluminum pool. It's 18ftx33ft. SCORE! Hoping every part of it is aluminum.

nice hope you make some decent money on it.
I used to have one sorry to say no they arent all aluminum...just the liner is everything else is painted steel.
I've came across some that are all aluminum, half steel half alum, and all steel. If your going to demo it, unless its all aluminum I would charge to take it down. Good luck
I notice around here, the above ground pools also have big pumps(electric motors) and ladders (hopefully aluminum) left behind.
I went up today and looked at it. The entire thing is aluminum except the supports and part of the deck which is perfectly fine with me. He still has the pump as well and its huge which he said I could take as well. The good thing is that it is 99% disassembled. Have to go back when there is less snow as he has about a ft or so in his yard.
Joe
Sounds like a good deal then.
Understand that.....he has been emailing me making sure I am coming to get it since I left and I did tell him I was coming back. he was complaining about how long it's been sitting there talking up space. He said it been sitting there since last march but he doesn't know anyone with a truck.
Today alone I picked up 2 cast boilers and an oil tank
Let us know how much you make off of it.
Will do definitely, just wonder how long its going to take to take the pump apart.
LoL nothing like doing it the easy way. I know there are a ton of brass in them.
lol. Hammers solve a lot of scrap problems.
what! if i found an aluminum pool id be out there with a shovel and bibs loading my trailer. especially if he wants it gone ASAP. ive lots quit a few things by waiting. lets say i get things as soon as i can now.
Same here. Lost out because I delayed. Waiting rarely pays off.
got the pool picked up today
390lbs = $215.00
Didn't take the pump apart though it was raining and I have to do the majority of my breakdowns in the back of my my truck. I live in a condo which sucks but my dads uncle has a shop which I am going to ask him if I can use it once in a while so I can be out of the weather and use anything I need. He use to manufacture and repair pumps.
I took apart a few pumps. I didn't have much stuff in the ones I got, but the motors are nice weight.
