Wow, that's messed up. Before I send anything via mail, I do extensive reference check. In my case though, I live an hour and a half away from my guy. You have a name and an address, start there. Do a police report, then contact an attorney. You may me need small claims court.Quote:

Everyone uses checks. Cash is a hassel alot. Most yards have a bank backing them so they may not always have the cash on hand.
I think having too much cash on hand is dangerous. Heavens know May show up there with a bad attitude. In New York and Florida I notice that once your load is of a certain amount, you're getting cash.Quote:

Yards in this area ALWAYS pay ca$H
RAS pays with a check drawn on BOA that can be cashed at the BOA you pass on the way back to route 95

I agree. Cash is trouble free. I worked at the yard I deal with. Bullet proof glass and several employees behind the glass carry a firearm ,which is visible to everyone. Very effective deterrent.Quote:
