If their silver and not carbon they hold about .5g silver. Do some research and you will find buyers.

Do you only have one mylar sheet? They are worth about 2.00-3.00 per lbs and it takes ruffly 50 sheets to make a lbs. These I have been saving until the price of silver goes up. When silver was up over 30.00 an oz I was getting 4.00 per lbs.

Yes, but a pita to get to. I have one sitting in front of me, I'd open it, but bleh, what a pain. Full Size keyboards are so much easier, an bigger mind you. Which means less for a lb.

Just make sure there is no carbon, or it's no good to be refined. An one can get more then $2 to 3$ a lb, if you look hard enough.

    I like mylar.

Once you get to the chewy center, laptop keyboards usually have nice aluminum as a backing plate

Not to get off topic but check out the touch pads on the laptops too. Peel off the backing and you should find a nice shiny surprise.

So I got bored an opened the keyboard on the laptop for the mylar..

One has to hate carbon..not just dots, but whole freaking streaks of it on mylar.

I'm not a fan of latop ones so far.

    Sirscrapalot - I hate carbon.

Yours might be worth it BS, this one i opened surely wasn't. Carbon is no good when it comes to mylar, an this one is streaked with it. I'm rather bummed.

Glad I don't get many laptops, their rather annoying.

    Cell phones I like!

I knew you'd like that Mike.

An BS, that's what I do. One of my guys brings me large amounts of keyboards. I set them aside for a nice day, an then just spend the day breaking them down outside, taking it easy. I save them for when I'm tired of the other stuff, or just need a slow day.

They always pay well for me, between the mylar, an the wire. If you got a way to profit off the plastic, you'll do even better.

An those screws, they all get tossed in the screw bucket, some day it'll be full, an I'll do something with it..lol.

Sirscrapalot - If somebody thinks they're a hedgehog, presumably you just give 'em a mirror and a few pictures of hedgehogs and tell them to sort it out for themselves. - Douglas Adams
