Srapchap: 3/23 haul for the day. Pricing Questions

    Hey scrappers!

Here is my haul last week:

6 Stainless Steel Pool rails @$.47/lb
Pool motors I was not able to weigh our count @$.18/lb

2 months ago I hauled in a load of motors, and it was $.23/lb.

Do y'all call to get pricing the day of your haul before you bring it in?

My haul was done on a Saturday

Appreciate the knowledge and information as always scrappers!

I do ... and just this past week got an unpleasant surprise with regard to a price drop. It's been about a month since I took anything, and a lot can happen.

I've had it happen - called the yard for pricing and in the 30 minutes it took to get there, the price dropped.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Always call around before for a general idea of what to expect. Also check online . Check website. Prices can change daily and vary per yard.

I don't but I've been hauling scrap for almost 7 years and have found the yards that pay the most for serten things. If theses yards lower their prices then most all other yards will also lower their prices within 24hrs. It's the nature of the game, prices go up and prices go down.
