Then I was wondering if any of you planned on doing this and if so do you use all gold content boards or just high content boards like lnb and cell phone boards
I can neither confirm nor deny I've mentioned this several times in the past. There is a reason I love my LNBs.

Sirscrapalot - I'll take those, thank you.

My neighbor the IT guy told me that he would be getting some more stuff for me. He showed up today and I was not expecting this. 16 towers, around 15 printers, 11 keyboards, 6 monitors, 1 network setup for a server, 1 desk, an 80s laptop 1 word processor , and 5 of these things to printers

S4E...Sorry I didn't respond before on that card question. I had mean to come back an give you an answer.

Yes, it's gold plated. You'd have to search for the thread, as Etack commented on it, an mentioned the possible yield for those if you had enough to be toll refined. Do you recall what LNB it came out of? Dish, Directv, Hughes?

Hughes is good stuff. Dish an Direct can go either way.

Liking the rest of the goodies you've found since I lost my way to your thread.

An is that a typewriter in the pic with the trailer an all the stuff in it?

Sirscrapalot - Always amazed at S4E, Kochy, an Red's finds.

I don't know it's a 220 v plug and I only have 110v our dryer is gas not electric so I can't plug it in there. Yeah I couldn't bring myself to scrap it but I did notice the shell is aluminum

I think it was dish never even heard of Hughes. I'm not sure if you realize about this that it is a metal gold colored sheet not a board. Couldn't find anything about that. The item on the trailer is a little more advanced than a typeriter I think they call em word processors they plug in

Well aware they are gold plated sheet.

The reply from Etack is in my direct tv thread I believe.

Hughes net is a sat provider that is used in the rv'ing community. High end sat dishes an the like, lot thicker gold. Not sure where or who else uses Hughes. I only know about them from RV'ing an my plans to future RV. With all the advances in cell phones tho, I don't think I'll need the sat internet when I hit the road.

I have a few of those gold plated thing a ma jigs. The cards can be gold, silver, an..vinyl or sumsuch not metal. I"ll have to find it an post a picture of it. Either way I love the buggers.

You can see the first one I ever pulled out in this thread.

    An I found E's reply..

Those DTV boards are worth in the $0.03-$0.05 a SQ In range The hughesnet ones are in the $0.25-$0.40 range this is of Au plating.

Good info in both threads, an many others on LNB's. I know me an Trot like them, Mech to if I recall properly.

Anytime you get more feel free to give me a holler.

Sirscrapalot - Might just have to pull the trigger on something he's been working on for awhile.

    scrapping4ever's hauls

Pic#1 is just a single socket. The processor is under the fan and aluminum what sink. Pic#2 are finger boards. Pic#3 is an internal hard drive. Pic#4 is 3 1/2" floppy drives. Unless they're tested and working, they'd go as mid and high grade e-scrap. very nice haul.

Those look like welding leads in the pictures with your welder. That will be a nice haul if copper once they're stripped. They look pretty trashed, so I doubt they'd go for more than scrap value.
