    Gravitar's new truck!

Hey everyone! After almost two years of scrapping out of a Honda CRV, I have finally upgraded to a truck. Today I got a 2004 Ford F-150 long box with a whopping 84,000 miles on it. Paid around 7000 for it. This will allow me to start hauling in larger loads and not have to worry about messing up the interior of the CRV!

Nice choice! Good luck with it, I wish you the best.

Before you let the tailgate down to unload; make sure you don't leave anything on the bumper when your stepping on the gate while its down. I left a nice huge dent from a hammer I left on the bumper on my first truck.

Yeah, OK, I looked again, and that truck is too pretty for this job. How about trading it with me? I'll find you something nicely pre-dented and pre-scratched. It'll be a sacrifice for me, but I don't want you to suffer the mental anguish of messing up your truck. ;-)

It does have one dent on the hood and a few scratches. Not entirely perfect, but pretty darn close!

Lol, I was just gonna say. My truck was decent enough too and then it started getting mysterious scratches and dings when I scrapped and I swear nothing ever touched the sides!

Nice and congrats. I know the feeling. I started with a small toyota pickup and every job I went to the customers would say "you need a bigger truck". It was as if they thought I didnt realize that my truck was small and I needed something bigger. Well Im sure you have heard "you need a truck" and now you can say "I got one".

Wow what a beauty! Be next to impossible to find that body style ford up here with no rot! Must be a reaaaal early 2004 though. Ford came out with the new styling in 04 if im not mistaken. Either way, nice clean truck man!!

Says it's made in Canada on the door sticker! That's what I'm thinking as well, because all the photos from 2004 are the new body style. Thankfully it's the old motor type from before Ford decided to go all stupid and make the sparkplugs a pain in the butt to remove.

Which motor? 5.4L v8 triton? I have a '00 F150 7700package longbed....in this same color (well, by same color I mean it once looked like that on a car lot before I obtained it, ), and if it does have the 5.4 v8, lemmetellya they're a $%$# to take out! I took my sweet time that spanned a night with penetrating oil on them....and I still had to baby them, because the last thing you want to do is snap one (or more) off in the head. Aside from that and changing the valve cover gasket, I've basically done nothing to mine....and it registers 237k now!

Anyways, awesome find!!!! Maybe someday it'll look like mine. j/k

I'm not only impressed with the truck but also that you managed to scrap out of a CRV . Congrats on the upgrade and your continued success. It's always nice to see other people success, and hard work pay off.
