    I had rotator cuff surgical repair done today.

    I had the consult and things done yesterday, where I stopped in at Mudlucky's on my way home with some more scrap. Today they (VA) picked me up and dropped me off just a bit ago. It took two hours to do, the surgeon got rid of a bone spur, made a repair to a tendon and took out scar tissue around my muscle. It's been bad for several years and recently got so bad I could hardly pull anything towards me without pain.

    I'm to keep it immobilized for ten days, followed by two hours of use a day and further immobilization for another two weeks before they do physical therapy to get my strength up. I feel this is something that will drastically improve my life, it's been a hindrance since I left the Army in 2009. For the next few weeks I will hire people to do the work I need done.

    Thanks guys, awake again. Everything is totaly wore off now and while I am in pain, I can find good relief in an ice pack. I've always healed really quick but that said I am taking it super easy for a few months.

    Just do what you have to do to heal and tell them scrapping is good physical therapy, you'll be back to 100% in no time!

    Get well soon. I had my left shoulder done a few years back do what the therapist says and you will be ok. It took about a year to feel 100%.

    Thanks guys. I already benefit from having good muscle mass and being young, I'm 31. It had been so bad OTHER people around me could hear my shoulder grind. They did the surgery by scope and while it's swollen pretty bad the incisions (three) are only 8 stitches or so each, two in my armpit and they itch like crazy. I am amazed at how tidy surgery has become, I have scars from when I was a kid that by comparison are sloppy and huge. Big shout out to Zablonki VA Medical center and the staff who performed my surgery. I'm happy already, ice works wonders, less pain than my knee surgery by a long shot. I'll sleep fine tonight on anti-inflammatory meds and some icing. I did one hand break downs of power supplies today, quit at 15 of them, only 450 more to go...will hire someone to do the rest.
