Ok Ladies and Gents. Got a longstanding bodyshop guy. Landlord is all over him to purge.. Doing a 50-50 Split with him. First Load of Goodies. Ranger Frame and tons of old car parts that he has tried in vein to get rid of. Watching this guy who is about 100 lbs give it all he has with a sledgehammer trying to dent and destroy the stuff before it went on the truck was the highlight of my day!

Love the pictures and insight on this thread. Might be a little late, but as far as cutting barrels, fill them with water before you use any sparks or torch on them. The other option is to fill them with carbon dioxide. Had a friend in college that cut a barrel and had it skyrocket into him and required over a year of surgery and rehab and he is disfigured for life. We are using carbon dioxide in some coal dust chutes in this project with great luck. Not an expert, but these are a few experiences.

The Diamondplate one? I thought once.. then twice about pulling it.. then said "Ahh.. got to go to da yard" He's been trying to sell it for years without any luck.. figured I didn't want to add to the length of time.. but of course someone would want it on here.

Not much to show that would get any "Oooh's and "Ahhh's" as of late.. I am alive though.
They are tearing the tar out of my road.. and with that sometimes I like to go wander down and see what I may find.. a little sprig of old tracer wire here.. a busted piece of old sewer pipe there.. the guys pick up and haul off all the big goodies.. but the walk is beneficial for me anyway. So they are getting to the point of laying asphalt.. the road bed has been done so I figure anything lying on top will just be covered with asphalt. Can't have that stuff go to waste right?

So last night I'm out with my wand magnet and I hit a pipe.. no stick.. I pull it up and I see what I thought was old dirty copper.. I thought "Whoot- Score" While trying to bang the dirt out of the hole I notice the whole thing is just slowly bending with each tap. I whip out the hose and wire brush and realize that this isn't copper.. It is a solid chunk of LEAD. Not sure why one end has a hole in it like a pipe- the rest of it is solid. Thought I would share. Only thing I can imagine this was- was a stick of Lead they would have used to melt and join the cast iron pipe over 100 years ago on the original infrastructure build. Weighs about 10 lbs! Not a huge monetary score.. but never seen something like this before!

And then come the public outcry like the gal posing with her kills and Facebook deleted all her photos.

About 30 minutes. I use a sawzall to cut out the entire dash. While there I always get the heater cores also. The Jimmy's Blower Motor was under the hood- but on most vehicles it is buried in the dash too- so I usually get that motor when I'm in the dash.

Harness weighs roughly 20 lbs x.75/lb at my core buyer =$15
    Heater Core- Probably $1.50
    Blower Motor Probably about .60

    So the Wisdom/logic = $17.10
