I know what you are saying and I've also seen the refrigerators, with all their foam insulation, in the shred pile and I've seen the guy who oversees it watch people throw out all sorts of stuff that contain less metal than garbage and he doesn't say anything so I guess I shouldn't let it bother me. I know you guys would freak if you saw the way I break down my stuff but right now I just have way more time than money so I break stuff down as far as possible (sometimes going as far as cutting all the aluminum into lengths that will fit nicely into my bins rather than leave them stick out.) I just pulled a rug shampooer out of the dumpster today and that bugger is much heavier than any vacuum I've dealt with. I'll tear it down tomorrow.
