    Question Scrapper's Online Radio Idea

hey fellas, just finished taking a class on online radio broadcasting. New thought came up in my mind, how cool would a scrapper's radio be? It would consist of:

    - Advertizing Opportunities
    - Call-in chats/questions
    - Voice over review of weekly top forum post
    - Current U.S Market Prices
    - General scrap discussions

I would host it, even though i have the experience of a new person, but i know the basics and a lil more. The radio would be broad casted whenever i am available, but will give a 4 hour notice before it goes live. Anyone can tune in, and anyone can call or text during the air. Ad's can be placed for a small fee via paypal. The website URL would be my personal site, but ill reveal that if this scrappers radio is a good idea to others. Can be heard on cell phone or computer as long as you have internet access. For you "legal" people, there will be no copyrighted info such as music, etc. Meaning, it is legal for me to broadcast it.

What do you think? i feel 15+ thanks and or acceptable comments would represent to try it atleast.

Like i said, i have the basics and somewhat of the advanced. Im great with general scrap discussions, but i am a little bit lost with specifics such as models and e-waste.

I am aware of that, lol. Never stated discussions would always be about lawnmowers and e-waste. I don't want to be bold about that and i don't want to start tensions on the forum.

I think might want to get a little more experience or your going to end up like most of the u tube "experts" half truth and half Bull squat. Most of them on scrap or gold refining could get some one hurt or killed.

Don't think you will get much attention from real scrapper with Picker in your name (Just my opinion) The show by that name is one of my pet peeves, there is no reality in most of those "reality" shows.

Or you could just do a podcast. An it's not really hard to do research on the markets for the metals, etc.

An for you naysayers...please tell us what is an acceptable amount of experience to have a podcast, or other type of online show...

An Olddude, I agree with you on the youtube yahoos.

I think a person has to have enough experience or knowledge to tell some one not to take the guard off the angle grinder or not to hold something in their lap when using it.

to not melt their copper or alu into ingots. unless selling on e bay.

That most mobile homes are a break even at best with a lot of un salable left overs.

how to tell the difference between nickel and stainless.

    etc,etc,etc.

Give it a try Benny. Talk about what you know. Weren't you asking for career advise last week? Maybe you'll have a passion for broadcasting that rivals your passion for law mowers

There you go Benny. Could call it the "Benny Neal Show" or "Neal Benny Show" or "The Picker Crenshaw a Show".

Look into a pod cast if your serious. Still can do advertising an no need for a set location. A laptop, a program or two an your golden.

Not to mention you can get a nice size audience via the internet. I keep saying I will do one, but..I can't find enough time. lol.

Good luck if you take a shot at it, every industry has some kind of show somewhere, we should to. Need to counteract all that negative scrapper stuff in the media.
