    I am still here

4/25 Friday spotted good weight here and there , but did not come home with it all . I did retrieve a walking tread mill with decent weight
Still as I drove home I was thinking , have I lost my edge as I had spotted all these other items still not with me.
But today confirmed NOPE some of the finds were just tough and needed some time to retrieve . Doing normal family events ,I mopped up the areas and did indeed get the weight .
    Saturday day
AL wire from a dumpster & AL doors from another , Then what felt like 150 pounds of wet van seat (from a mini van) used a strap to bumper to pull out of container.

Sat evening , took apart an old piano with cast iron - at the curb, took about 45 min .
along with a 25 pound AL grill at same spot.

    Today was classic,
Son took to a birthday party . My daughter and friend took to the mall .
Then my day got started - off to the yard - then the streets
Found 4 TV's - heavy microwave - and Brand new boots for me and a set for my son , go figure what people toss to trash !!
they say gortex & there a normal looking boot clearly water proof & NEW , like BRAND new ??

Then to the dumpster that was still waiting ,
20 pounds AL , 150 pounds of steel from racks and at-least 250 pound store rack Buried under massive nonmetal weight
I took a 5000 lb strap from my bumper to rack , and pulled that MOTHER the Frick out .
Loaded on to truck with some dead weight technique & as I drove home with all my kids, said to myself - Still got it .

    PS
I did buy my kids things at the mall
so I think finally there associating there goodies
with the loads in the back of truck bed
I heard no complaints as I stopped to retrieve another 2 TV's
    on the way home .

    CH,

Still like the "new" job? Getting enough scrap on the side through the job?

You kinda sound like an athlete who has semi-retired, and worried about keeping your scrapping "edge". Good on ya, man!!

    Jon.

It is an old trick for in store employees to steal items and throw them in the dumpster for retrieval later. Drug stores are notorious for this. That may be the reason for the "new boots".
"anyone who thinks scrappin is easy money ain't doin it right!"
