    good deed gone wrong

So im out in the truck with my brother and his friend looking for dumped cinder blocks (for one of his projects). while out we go down a dead end street with a larger park/parking lot. No cinder blocks but found 4 tires on rims someone dumped. Scrap and toss the tires, good deed of the week I thought. Load em up, about to leave and a city cop pulls in, shines the spot light right in my face.

So he asks whats goin on and I explained what was up. Takes my info and sits in the cruiser for 10 mins. Comes out and asks about the tires again. He examins the tires for atleast 4-5 minutes, i dont know why, and keeps coming back asking me what I was doing where I was. Explained every time, drove down here, saw the tires, scrapping the rims and tossing the tires. He goes "well they are pretty worn.." I say well yeah they are garbage thats why they got dumped... im just gettin rid of em. "Yeah I suppose.. ok have a good night" He didnt say anything about all the cinder blocks and a parking barrier though! (All found in a field)

I try and clean up a park and get hassled! Oh well. Must be a slow tuesday. Thought it was kinda funny.

If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

No good deed goes unpunished. Happens every time.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Wrong place, wrong time, or maybe 3 guys in a truck might be up to no good. Maybe their line of thinking.

Yeah I dont blame him for checkin us out, I would have done the same. Just thought it was a little overkill on all the questions for 4 bald tires! Barrie police are bad for wasting time and making mountains out of mole hills.

The cinder blocks probably made it worse! Wheels are very commonly stolen and guess what the vehicle with stolen wheels is usually left on...Cinder blocks! haha If you had a bunch of cinder blocks he might of thought you were out on a wheel shopping spree! I'm assuming it was night since you said he shined the spotlight at you. Sounds like the wheels were pretty crappy, if they were GMC 20's he probably would of hastled you even more.

Funny how the way we look at things change as we get older. I probably would have felt the same way at your age but now that I'm older and have had things stolen or vandalized, I'm grateful for cops that do their job rather then sit in a parking lot all night.

You seem like a straight shooter but most going to a park after dark aren't there to play on the swing set.

Ha! Me my buddy and our other friend who is a girl, were sitting in my truck down at one of our local boat launches. I was sitting there doing homework, and then the 5-0 rolls up shines the spot light, comes up to the truck, and the windows are fogged cause we didnt have the truck on, and so the cop thinks we're doing stuff we're not spose to so he starts asking us all these questions, where we live, names and all that and what we are doing, i lift my book and say all we're doing is homework, and make the cop feel like a complete ass, it was funny, cause the look on his face was priceless. So then he's like, don't do anything bad and be safe and left lol.
