I like to turn my profits into more profits all of it goes into the stock market. I guess I do buy a lot of hunting stuff too.
Most of the scrap money goes back into the business, upgrading tools and equipment. I even recycle my money. All business expenses go on my Cabela's credit card to allow easier book keeping. I will be using the points to purchase a new 223 AR. This will also be a business expense because when scrapping farms you always have to deal with skunks, raccoons, etc. I also use the points for hats, jackets, etc.. for my big clients. They love the outdoor gear and it has my business logo on it to promote advertising. It is easy to set up a corporate account with Cabela's and once you have a logo, you can purchase items for less than catalog price.
Well still trying to piece together money in case i ever find a good deal on a truck or van. Use some for auctions, random tools, and of course the big monster called GASOLINE.
I have been recycling/scrapping for almost 1 and a half years. I have bought a lot of stuff along the way. I purchased a 75"x12' trailer initially to handle all the loads I pickup or take in. After that I have paid cash money for my 2005 Polaris Sportsman 500. I bought a plow for it and now will get a winch before next winter. I have bought miscellaneous tools like an angle grinder, a dual saw for cutting aluminum, and various screw drivers and such. I purchased a brushless speed control and motor for my RC race truck. A lot of my scrap money has been invested in shiny too. I have a full time job and scrap on the side. I feel like my scrap money is the only money I can play with and buy fun stuff. None of these purchases would have happened if I did not scrap as I have 3 young boys and a 4th(don't know yet) on the way. Here are a couple pics. I am slowly getting away from scrapping and investing in items I can flip and make a profit. Scrapping has been good to me and I am amazed at how much a guy can make picking up other peoples junk. Keep it up guys!

I guess it is no surprise that those of us who work a full-time job seem to use our scrapping money for our hobbies/leisure activities.
100% of it goes to support military veterans. We collect used computers, refurbish them, and donate them to vets who need them but can't afford them. We fund our operations by scrapping - not government grants because they contradict our mission - and scrapping pays for Windows licenses, warehouse rent, veterans we hire to do the work, and bus passes for them to get to us. We do not take a dime for our own time and effort. We are especially grateful to PartTimeScrapper, Boardsort, and Ewasted (cash4computerscrap) who are making it all possible.
100% of my scrap (when I first got started got parlayed into equipment).

Mine gets turned into shiny. It gets put into the garage sale purse and gets used to buy more goodies that get scrapped, craigslisted or e-bayed. When it builds up enough, it gets turned into bling. The last bling buy..
I like to build demo cars with mine. And on occasion a little food but mostly beer and nachos.

For me, the money goes for vehicles.
First, I bought a box van. I don't have a picture of it, but it's one of these:
That truck was a stupid purchase. I've used it for four collections, and have broken down on three of them. It's now driven it's last mile on the road.
This summer, I paid to have a transmission put in my 1995 LeSabre. It was my first car, and my favorite.
Along the way, I've "restored" my 1987 Chevrolet R-10. It was the truck that I came home from the hospital in, and the first one that I drove. My father abandoned it in 2002. I fixed it in 2008, and he then killed it again. He gave it to me in 2011, and I've taken care of her since. Your Camaro and Dodge Super Bee put her to shame, but for my tight budget, she's plenty. I have the most joy while driving the truck. I get to enjoy it when I make pickups.
Scrap has paid for all of this. If it can cover my vehicles, I'm doing pretty well
I'll be getting a 3/4 ton truck and will be building an enclosed box on our trailer over the winter. You guessed it- payed for with scrap.
"Where does the money go?"
I ask myself that every month after I pay the bills. Lol
Money is not the root of all evil, the love of money is.
Currently it's all going towards crib, car seat, baby clothes, and DIAPERS as we prepare for our first little one!!
~You have to start somewhere to get anywhere~
Congrats ! I got 3 lil taters of my own, and believe me your gona need every dollar you have and the some.
The money's going to be going to another truck for us it seems Louie crapped the bed on the highway the other day
Bills, Bills and more Bills.
