Finally back and gave the local curb siders a tough time

Well after a large string of bad luck, Im back in the scrapping game. Pretty much got stuck with no car and no cash for a few months but luck changed when I borrowed $500, bought a grand prix with a bad trans, and flipped it for a lot more after I replaced the trans.

Well bought myself a car and trailer, fully insured vehicle, and full tank of gas. Seeing as how my overhead is extremely low with 30+mpg in town, I can literally stay out all day and night scrapping while these curb siders in their big trucks are rationing their gasoline in their 12mpg chevy 1500s lol.

Anyways, here are a few photos of my first load. Somewhat disappointed as it felt like more than 320LBs...

Scrap Yards call me crazy when I pull up with a ton of steel in my Saturn sl2.....

I would break down that dryer and BBQ, you would be able to put a lot more in there. Not to mention the electric motor in the dryer, wire, and the brass and cast AL in the BBQ... Probably don't have to tell you that though. Nice to have you back!

P.S its good to keep the overhead low, its always an ace in the hole.

I don't do many dryers but each one had money I found once I removed the back panel. Mike

wow a trailer on a saturn. That is inspiration. I am still scrapping out of my camry. I took my heaviest load of metal a few weeks ago 780 pounds without a trailer and had 2 kid bikes on the roof rack... If I was brave enough to add a trailer and try to push her harder I would totally change my strategy. There is a guy on here I am going to start looking at his posts that scraps out of a crown vic. I think that would be one of the more ideal cars to scrap from. until they have affordable beat up electric cars and trucks.
