2 days at the scrap yard....

What a SCORE...I have been cultivating a good rapport with my scrap buyer over the last few months as we all know they can be picky and finicky, this guy spends the time to educate you when you bring stuff in explaining what will get you more or less instead of just bulk dropping the price on a whole load. Over the last 2 days of hauling stuff in he brings me to the "back area" where he has all the stuff he buys for scrap even though he knows the value is way higher but has no real outlet for, and asks me if between my Ebay store and some of my other sources I might be interested in posting and selling for him. I think my jaw dropped when I saw all the military electronics, and other treasures that can be parted out for quite a pretty penny. I am gonna sit back though and think about if I want to take on this endeavor, on the upside we all know scrap is pretty much the last resort on many items so that is why I like to do both the resale and scrap side of things. Needless to say this has been a good day for this Scrapper!

nice! its a good feeling when guys at the scrap yard come around and do things like this.. I know one junk yard around here that does that and the stuff people scrap is ridiculous. pictures would be awesome of the military stuff.
just make sure the owner is cool with what you are doing and this isn't something the guy is doing on the side and under the table
