Keep it and never speak of it I'm assuming .

The wife said she didn't think it had anything in it and if it did well I'd be lucky. She was very nice about the whole thing because I told her my concerns about paperwork. I said if there was anything in it I'd bring it down to them.

I did find some old receipts which promptly went into the fire pit.

Here are all the boards I found in the top section so far. I'm thinking there might be more because there are more phone cables and a ribbon cable going through that section into the bottom part:

I know what he was implying , but how could you possibly find the correct owner . Am I supposed to report all the loose change I find in storage lockers ? If I found a id or a checkbook I would mail it back . But if I ever find cash well I have a handy carrying case in my wallet for that . The money that is turned in is pretty much a donation . What's that old saying about fools and money ?

^^I don't know how ATM's work, I'm still trying to get into this one. IF there were anything in the bottom section that has the dial/lock, that is what I was referring to.

Drill a 3/8" hole 1" to the right of the dial at the 3 o'clock position. the bolt is located here. Take a hole punch, hit it a few times and turn the handle...it will open, I promise. Oh yeah, the box that the money is in is aluminum and it has a large mothetboard in the top of the vault. Send me a PM. I might be interested in buying the dispenser and cassette (the box that the money is in). Don't damage it trying to open it. To open the box, take two flat head screw drivers an put the in the slots at the bottom corners of the box.

^^To late, its toast. We did the drill thing one inch to the right and finally broke through after 6 battery changes but either we were off the mark or something. Ended up torching it open because I didn't want to damage my batteries with so many charges in such a short time, took over a half hour to get through the thick steel. thankfully, none of the boards left caught on fire, only the wiring that was in the bottom section which was otherwise empty. The vault contained a HUGE mouse nest, if there ever was anything in it its gone now!

That is some haul you have there, instead of using a saw-all on I would use a torch on the hinges.

Hey newattitude, there is a guy on youtube named Aussie50 who has some "autopsy" videos on taking a ATM apart in detail. You should check them out.

Here are the last of the boards that came out of the upper portion. Also 2 motors and one piece of extrusion which was on the larger board pictured. the power supply also had a board.
